My Interview with Lady Sas

Lady Sas: Dear Katharina, please tell us how you became aware of this extraordinary field of work and how you developed into a Dominatrix.

Domina Katharina: A friend of mine had started as a Dominatrix. She was the first to introduce me to the world of working as a Dominatrix. I have always been a strong woman and held the reins so I figured, I could work in that field easily and give it a try. So I called a studio and began to learn everything about the work there. I joined other Diminatrixes during sessions, observing their work. I read a lot of books and researched about BDSM. Quickly I discovered my passion for the work as a Dominatrix.  That's why I started in a studio in Cologne. After that, I worked in Berlin as part of a team until I finally decided to be independent of the others and the studio. That is what I do now.

Lady Sas: On your website is the title "Dominatrix Katharina", the web address is "Domina Katharin" and "about me" is "I am Katharina". Which salutation do you prefer in the session? Do you want to be addressed formally?

Dominatrix Katharina: In general I always prefer to be addressed polite and formally, especially when it comes to sessions. The specific term in the session is irrelevant to me, may it be Lady Katharina, Domina Katharina, Mistress, Mistress, etc. It's about the gesture.

Lady Sas: What does attract you about BDSM? What kind of sessions do you like the best?

Domina Katharina: I like sessions where I can fully immerse myself into it and which are challenging. I particularly love psycho-fixation games. I have always seen it as a challenge to fix someone extremely tight that there is not the slightest chance to break out. Furthermore, psycho games require a lot of creativity, empathy, and sensitivity.

Lady Sas: You work in Berlin. Can you tell us something about the BDSM scene in Berlin? Do you know many Doms in Berlin?

Domina Katharina: The scene in Berlin is quite big, probably because of the numerous SM-studios here. Each one has its style and different concept. So the selection is huge. Besides that, there are a lot of clubs like the well known KitKat or Insomnia, where the Berlin BDSM scene is more pronounced and represented. I only know some colleagues from Berlin; you follow each other on Instagram and sometimes you meet at one or another fetish event. During German Fetish Ball (GFB) everything is even more international.

Lady Sas: You do not only work in Berlin, but you also travel. For example to Gdansk in Poland and Dubai. How did you come to those two destinations?

Domina Katharina: I love traveling and discovering new places. During GFB I got to know Melisande Sin, who owns a studio in Gdansk. We got along pretty well that we also became friends privately. So I visited her and her colleague Maya Sin in Gdansk and connected this trip with work. Dubai has always been one of my top destinations where I wanted to travel to and also a great destination to combine it with my work.

Lady Sas: Your preference is "psycho-torture". Sounds exciting. How does that work? Can you give us an example?

Domina Katharina: Psycho-torture is a torture method without physical violence but just as effective. For example, there was an overnight session where I dressed up the slave in a spherical stainless steel mask, mittens, and a scratchy sack. I fixed him in a cell and then rigged him all night with Hatebreed (a hardcore punk band) on full volume. He was completely in the dark and had no clue how much time has passed by or whether it was already bright outside. That was a lot of fun!

Lady Sas: Has the relationship with men changed since you became a professional Dominatrix?

Domina Katharina: No. I see everyone as an individual. I can't generalize men just because I'm dealing with a sort of men who have special preferences. I am addressing a certain target group.

Lady Sas: What inspires you? How do you come up with new session ideas?

Domina Katharina: Sometimes I get inspired during sessions when I'm fully into the game. If you are passionate about something, the ideas come by themselves.

Lady Sas: What are your plans for the future?

Domina Katharina: There will be some changes that I do not want to talk about yet. Therefore stay tuned about what is coming next.
